Venom finally gets its own superhero movie, starring Tom Hardy. Before transforming into the titular character, the movie begins with an investigative reporter named Eddie Brock. He follows people to discover juicy details to use in his next story. When Eddie finds out that a large corporation may be exploiting human test subjects, he decides to break into the test facility for more information. But what he discovers is more than he bargained for. Eddie becomes infected with an intelligent parasite that calls itself Venom. The symbiote is an alien life-form that needs a host to survive on Earth. It begins taking over Eddie's body and helps him defeat thugs sent by the facility's CEO. This film is full of exciting set pieces, humor, and a stellar performance by Hardy.
