It tells the story of Kai (Keanu Reeves), a half-Japanese, half-English rogue and outcast who embarks on a treacherous quest of adventure when the samurai reject his warrior application. No slouch, Kai takes over the leadership of a clique of 47 warriors - the Ronin of the title - and together they rain vengeance upon the traitorous warlord who murdered their master and banished their kind.
