Starring some of the funniest women in movie history, this reboot is a supernaturally awesome summer comedy. Melissa McCarthy plays a paranormal researcher named Abby Yates. She teams up with a straight-laced physicist (Kristen Wiig), a crazy engineer (Kate McKinnon), and a street-smart public transit worker (Leslie Jones) to form the Ghostbusters. Terrifying spirits have started appearing in New York City, and no one can stop them. So, the team straps on some proton packs and sets out to bust some ghosts. The supernatural trail leads the Ghostbusters to a mad genius intent on sundering the barrier between life and death. Chris Hemsworth's hilarious role as the Ghostbusters' dumb-as-a-brick secretary practically steals the movie.
