Taron Egerton stars as the titular character in this modern take on the classic tale of Robin Hood. After years spent fighting in the Crusades, Lord Robin of Loxley returns home to discover that his town has been taxed into poverty by the Sheriff of Nottingham (Ben Mendelsohn). Robin must transform himself into Robin Hood, with the help of Little John (Jamie Foxx). There's a rebellion brewing among the commoners, and Will Tillman (Jamie Dornan) is leading them. Maid Marian (Eve Hewson) and Friar Tuck (Tim Minchin) assist Robin Hood and the townspeople in their efforts to oust the Sheriff once and for all.
